SEATTLE REP – LEO K THEATRE UPGRADES

The project will transform the existing Leo K Theater into a flexible 400 seat ‘black box’ performance / events venue, with dynamic new lobby spaces, an intimate open-air amphitheater, and an iconic new entry welcoming visitors from the heart of Seattle Center. The focal public space, Best Bar, is envisioned as a classic ‘Third Place’ – a highly adaptable gathering space expressing Seattle Rep’s vision of Theater at the Heart of Public Life. The interior spaces are configured to optimize views to the Space Needle, while covered roof terraces and the indoor-outdoor amphitheater space will draw in new audiences and strengthen Seattle Rep’s engagement with the surrounding campus.
