In 2009, ORA collaborated with Hybrid-Seattle and Habitat for Humanity to design a 10 unit development in Pacific, WA. The project adapts the 99K house and adds a second 6 bedroom prototype. The project will be a model of low-cost, flexible, sustainable housing. The homes have been designed to achieve a LEED Gold Rating and to Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards. The homes employ passive heating, cooling, daylighting, highly insulated envelopes, rainwater collection, energy star, and sustainable site practices. The homes will be net zero ready with roofs oriented to maximize future solar collection.
