ORA is collaborating with Rainier Avenue Radio and The Cultural Space Agency to implement comprehensive renovations of the historic Columbia City Theater in the heart of Columbia City. The project will enhance the theater to support diverse performance and exhibition uses; provide flexible studio and education spaces for RAR’s community-based radio programs and CADMAN (Creative Arts Digital Media Academy), where students take classes in the creation of video and audio, websites and on-air and on-line broadcast. The Project will integrate seismic and accessibility upgrades throughout the building. The first phase, planned for completion in early 2024, focuses on accessibility improvements in the entry lobby and restaurant.
