Seattle Repertory Theatre Lobby Upgrades
SEATTLE REPERTORY THEATRE LOBBY UPGRADES
ORA is collaborating with Seattle Rep to re-envision their public spaces to more fully support and express their mission: Theater at the Center of Public Life. A new central stair transforms the existing cramped main lobby, allowing more fluid movement and a more engaging procession to the upper lobbies. A new scrim/graphic screen creates a new visual focus at the heart of the lobby. A generously scaled new ramp provides enhanced accessibility to the Leo K Theatre, and the existing concessions will be reconfigured to provide expanded gathering spaces and improved flexibility for public events within the Rotunda. The revitalization will include fully renewed finishes, improved acoustics, and enhancements to the arrival and box office spaces. New sliding exterior walls will improve connectivity to exterior terraces and gardens, accommodating expanded events during fair weather. ORA is also assisting Seattle Rep on planned upgrades within the Bagley Wright Theatre to improve accessibility, renew seating and finishes to create a more intimate audience experience.
