SEA-TAC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SOUTH SATELLITE INTERIOR RENOVATION
ORA began in 2015 as the prime architect for extensive interior upgrades to revitalize Sea-Tac’s aging South Satellite terminal. The project includes new wall and gate portals throughout the concourse and mezzanine/escalator arrival areas, and replacement of all passenger check-in podiums and service desks. ORA worked closely with the Port of Seattle and associate architect ECH to refine existing material palettes and detailing to create an engaging passenger experience. The escalator wall panels integrate innovative custom-printed panels with abstracted Pacific Northwest natural landscape to create an immersive, memorable passenger experience. An abstracted dot pattern design creates a shifting experience of the large-scale images as travelers move along the escalators.
